Guiding principles for all our activities

  • The objective of OceanRabble is to conserve the ocean and have fun doing so.

  • Whatever we do contributes to environmental protection in general and marine conservation in particular.

  • Searching for and decontaminating wrecks, cleaning coasts and building boats and ships only works as a team.

  • We are committed to liberty, equality, diversity, fairness and solidarity and firmly reject any form of racism, fascism or discrimination of any kind.

  • We strive for win-win-win situations for everyone involved – a win for you, for the organisation and, above all, for our ocean.

  • The organisation is not for profit.

  • Surpluses are shared with all co-creators in proportion to their contribution to the implementation of our goals.

  • The rest is invested in the expansion of the organisation – in particular the fleet.

  • Under no circumstances will there ever be investors or others with similar capitalistic intentions who receive a profit share without an actual, real contribution.

  • Hierarchies should be kept as flat as possible

  • Ideally, the most competent person for a given task will perform or lead it

  • Our shipbuilding activities must be as environmentally friendly as possible, in other words, with the lowest possible impact.

  • We want to produce everything that makes sense ourselves.

  • We build whenever possible outdoors in the fresh air

  • We encourage volunteers to help us realise our mission.

  • As soon as our first LRV is in service, we will transport our co-creators and all the building materials we need emission-free ourselves and thus significantly reduce our carbon footprint further.
